Purple is pleased to present “Babushka,” an exhibition of new research-based paintings by Nick Farhi and curated by K.O. Nnamdie, inaugurating Freedom gallery’s new Soho location. Farhi repurposes still life as a form of cultural excavation, selecting subject matter from Ebay to create a dialogue between still life objects and their painted forms. His paintings create a place of contact between people and cultural artifacts of the 20th century.
On view now until August 4th at Freedom Gallery, New York.
