An escape to Mexico
“My trip to Mexico was a hurricane of emotions, I went during not a very good time, running away from a big change. I took my bags and spent Christmas in the Riviera Maya. While I was there I didn’t enjoy myself: I was traveling away from my problems but instead I took them with me. I found the excitement when developing my photos; I saw a turn of heart without it being premeditated: everything was happiness and color, everything was based on light. Even though I neither wanted or felt it, I ended up capturing in these photos my essence, there is always light that asks to come out screaming. This project is not about Mexico itself, but about hidden emotions. About how, if we want, we can live in an eternal summer.” —
