Kembra Pfahler at Participant Inc, New York
Fuck Island functions as a performance, installation and artist statement. The exhibition enforces Pfahler‘s longstanding interest in sexuality, rebellion and glamour. Her world is a forward thinking brand of feminism and ownership of one’s body. The representations of the penis through out the show suggest it functions as an all too powerful idol. On view through October 14th 2012 at Participant Inc, 253 East Houston, New York.
