Pyer Moss Couture Fall 2021 “Wat U Iz” by Kerby Jean-Raymond, the creative directors first runway show in almost two years.
Jean-Raymond’s couture debut made him the first black designer to show during Paris’ Haute Couture week, an opportunity he used to pay homage to historic Black inventors through tongue-in-cheek designs. “The general concept is that these are inventions by Black people and I wanted to re-introduce them to Black people and reverse any erasure that may exist.” – Kerby Jean-Raymond.
