Tears On Fire by Ariel Pink & Weyes Blood
Marfa Myths Artist Residency presents “Tears On Fire” a video by Ariel Rosenberg (aka Ariel Pink) and Natalie Mering (aka Weyes Blood), directed by Charlotte Linden Ercoli Coe.
The annual recording residency is a core component and tradition of Mexican Summer and Ballroom Marfa’s Marfa Myths music and visual arts festival in Marfa, TX. The residency brings together two or more musicians from different creative backgrounds to write and record over a week’s stay in the inspiring scenery of Far West Texas.
The first residency in 2015 yielded MYTHS001, an EP of magical material from Dev Hynes and Connan Mockasin, while 2016 witnessed Ariel Rosenberg and Natalie Mering collaborate for the MYTHS002 EP. In both instances, the artists took the Saturday night stage at The Capri by surprise to perform songs from and beyond their studio bounty.
Marfa Myths happens March 9th-12th 2017.
