After their debut at Centre Pompidou last December, Rick Owens’ wife, muse and artist Michèle Lamy, Italian visual artist and performer Nico Vascellari, and Lamy‘s daughter and artist Scarlett Rouge opened the FOG Festival at Triennale di Milano and presented “Lavascar”, an esoteric and explorative sound project named after the names of its members.
In 2017 Lavascar worked with the producer Rocco Rampino to record their debut album, A Dream Deferred – inspired by Montage of a Dream Deferred, a poem by Langston Hughes. With an unusual and idiosyncratic use of voices and rhythms, the group offers an acoustic journey through a mystical, nearly prehistoric landscape.
