Rooted in their experimental choral work with XOIR and explorations in puppetry, the video channels spectral presences through dynamic, uncanny visuals. Self’s practice of tulpamancy—a meditative craft creating physical manifestations of thought—infuses the piece with an otherworldly aura, echoing the themes of their album r∞L4nGc. Inspired by Greer Lankton’s evocative dolls, the work embraces imperfection to reveal a transgressive beauty, crafting a sonic and visual journey into ethereal, imaginative realms.
