Known for her depictions of everyday subjects with an exuberant use of color, this exhibition presents a series of paintings investigating the artist’s latest thematic obsessions –Pokémon, Cros, magic mushrooms and bathroom showers, to name a few. As she juxtaposes the mundane object with the boldly colored inner worlds, “Why is a mushroom growing in my shower?” explores how the everyday and the abstract, the practical and emotional, are all deeply interlinked.
“Why is a mushroom growing in my shower?” is on view now until July 30 at David Zwirner, 24 Grafton Street, London
