Gisèle Vienne’s This Causes Consciousness to Fracture transforms the Haus am Waldsee space into an otherworldly dreamscape, where life-sized puppets embody fractured psyches and silenced traumas. Her provocative mix of puppetry and photography invites the viewer to linger in the unspoken, where stillness and absence create a seductive tension. Vienne masterfully plays with the subconscious, unraveling emotional depths and challenging societal boundaries, we tend to not think about.
