Purple is pleased to present “The Intelligence of Nature,” an exhibition of new paintings by Urs Fischer made over the course of a year in confinement. Inspired by reflections in the solitude of his home and garden, Fischer’s works serve as simple gestures to the nature and reconnection to places. The photographic backgrounds of the works come from three distinct places — his LA home and garden, the interior of his home, and film-roll snapshots of his childhood house on film) — with paint streaked across the surface of the images.
