The first day of spring in Monterosso al Mare with Ekaterina
I decided to spend the first day of spring in a seaside town to meet an old friend. I got on a train leaving from Asti with just my camera and a fistful of batteries to go to one of the most beautiful places of Northern Italy: Monterosso, a village in Cinque Terre, Liguria with only 1500 people, one of the places most affected by a disastrous flood in 2011. Once we were ether i met up with my friend Ekaterina, and we drove around the sea and the countryside, winding through shops and houses without owners. Taking in the amazing coastal views, eating fish and drinking chilled white wine – the day looked a lot like summer.
