Stolen Nova shares on his perfomance at the iconic High Desert Art Fair in Pioneertown, California.
“It’s only 150 miles away from the filthy, faded glamour and gutter of Sunset Blvd, but Joshua Tree might as well be 150 million light years beyond.
We assembled in Pioneertown for the High Desert Art Fair, where Stolen Nova was performing alongside Devon Ross and Olum. Following the sonic experiments under the blood-red sky, we gazed through a psilocybin lens like primal creatures as the nearly pregnant moon was devoured by a skull of clouds.
Our motley crew of American, English, Turkish, French, German, Mexican, Italian, and Russian misfits—plus one out-of-control boxer dog—made the most of what was available to us in the wee hours of the night, as if we intrinsically knew “no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.”
