This exhibition marks the fourth collaboration between Stephen Prina and Wade Guton. After unsuccessful attempts at exchanging artwork, they discovered a way to trade by having Stephen create one of his Push Comes to Love pieces, which entails emptying a can of enamel spray paint onto a surface – in this case, onto one of Wade’s paintings. The works now remain separate and discrete but physically and inextricably linked. This year Daniel Buren allowed his work to remain installed at the Petzel Gallery so he became part of the project.
