Spencer Sweeney’s Rock Opera with TV Baby
Last night was a multimedia performance at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise to celebrate the closing of Spencer Sweeney’s painting and sculpture show. He curated a “Rock Opera” that he wrote and performed with TV Baby, Danny McDonald (as Mindy Veil), Jesse Gold, Maria Hassabi, and a few others. It was mostly about a child that is born from a television set, moves to New York, and fall in love with the Internet (played by Jesse, in silver). At one point, Matt makes love to a broken computer.
