Released in 1981, “Nothing to Hide” of one of the most well-known and watched porno movies in history. This title has never been more appropriate than it is today to describe the viral phenomena of sexual exhibitionism exploded in the recent decade. On one side, it has become very challenging to keep a private life and intimate sexuality in this era of social media, and on the other hand, paradoxically, a lot of people are still afraid of others’ judgement and try to be categorized following mainstream trends and not by their authentic personalities.
Among this chaos, a community of powerful women are growing and readily speaking out about freedom, sexuality, eroticism, and equal rights. It’s here that the exhibition “Vol.3: Nothing to Hide” focuses on the female body, sex and eroticism as seen by artists JULIE BEAUFILS, BIANCA BONDI,ROBERT BRAMBORA, JEANNE BRIAND, XINYI CHENG, JULIA COLAVITA, LOUISA GAGLIARDI, JANE HAYES GREENWOOD, CELIA HEMPTON, ALBA HODSOLL, MAXIMILIAN KIRMSE, KIKI KOGELNIK, LUCILE LITTOT, INDIGO LEWIN, TAMMO LÜNEMANN, CAROLINE MESQUITA, PIERRE MOLINIER, YOKO ONO, FRANCIS PICABIA, TANJA RITTERBEX, SASHA ROSS, ROMAIN SARROT, AGNES SCHERER, AUREL SCHMIDT, LISA SIGNORINI, LISE STOUFFLET, ORFEO TAGIURI, ROMAIN VICARI, and TOYEN.
