“Reclaim the earth,” a group exhibition at Palais de Tokyo @palaisdetokyo, Paris
“Réclamer la terre“ (Reclaim the earth) —a title inspired by one the first ecofeminist essays: “Reclaim the Earth: Women Speak Out for Life on Earth”— invites fourteen artists from different generations and fields to create work inspired by the relationship between body and earth. A play on organic matter, speculative practices, ecological and postcolonial thinking, the show illustrates the articulation between feminism, ecology and collective healing whilst questioning its colonial heritage. According to its scientific advisor, Ariel Salleh, the exhibition aims to “bring together ecology, feminism, socialism and indigenous politics means in order to abandon the Eurocentric vision and adopt a truly global view.”
