Belgian designer Raf Simons, who joined Christian Dior in 2012, announced that he will be leaving his position as Creative Director of the iconic French house. In a statement Simons said, “It is a decision based entirely and equally on my desire to focus on other interests in my life, including my own brand, and the passions that drive me outside my work.” The S/S 2016 collection presented on October 2nd in the courtyard of the Louvre was his last for the house.
“An incubation period doesn’t end in three collections. For me, it means years. I’ll do everything I can to challenge people who love Dior. But it’s also important, in this incubation period, to see how people react.
