Supporting the Black Lives Matter movement in response to Floyd’s killing on the 25th of May, the world has rallied together in support of the movement. Around the world this week thousands have come together to protest against racial injustice and police violence marking the hundreds of Black Lives lost due to Police Brutality. On Friday 5th of June, the people of Los Angeles came together in support of the movement and marched through LA down to city hall.

The LAPD receives $1.7 billion of state funding every year amounting to 54% of the entire budget that could help save lives, reduce the homeless crisis and end police brutality that led to George Floyd’s death.
A group taking action is Critical Resistance, seeking to end the Prison Industrial Complex by challenging the belief that caging and controlling people makes us safe. To find out more go to criticalresistance.org
