Metro Pictures’ seductive new summer group show examines the myth of the exotic as reflected in cultural identities. Organized by Alexander Ferrando, Noa Noa features Nina Beier, Verena Dangle, Sam Falls, Alex Israel, Tobias Madison and Emanuel Rossetti, Adrien Missika and Willem de Rooij. The works of Falls and Israel offer the local perspective of Los Angeles grit and glamour by isolating stereotypical elements of the city. On view through August 2nd 2013 at Metro Pictures, 519 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
