“Monuments to Survival” an exhibition by Ishi Glinsky at Chris Sharp, Los Angeles
Purple is pleased to present Ishi Glinsky’s exhibition at Chris Sharp Gallery centered around the artist’s monumental, insignia-studded leather jacket Coral Vs King Snake Jacket (2019). Alongside is a selection of pieces constructed using a variety of media from woven fabric to jewelry. In keeping with his other works, the pieces pay homage to the practices and craft techniques of Glinsky’s tribe, the Tohono O’odham Nation, reflected and memorialized in his own contemporary practice.
On view now at Chris Sharp LA, until April 24th.
