Bodies and Shadows: Caravaggio and His Legacy exhibition comprises of fifty-six works in all, including a record eight works by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio himself which traces the evolution of the celebrated painter’s style. The exhibition presents Caravaggio’s legacy expressed in work by approximately twenty artists from Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands including Giovanni Baglione, Gerrit van Honthorst, Diego Velázquez, and Georges de la Tour. Bodies and Shadows: Caravaggio and His Legacy will be on show from November 11th 2012 to February 11th 2013 at the LACMA, 5905 Wilshire Boulevard, CA 90036, Los Angeles. Photo Doug Neill
