A resin polar bear sculpture by German artist Martin Honert included in Matthew Marks Gallery’s summer group exhibition. Honert creates truthful sculptures to function as a discussion between the present day and memories of childhood. Honert’s polar bear becomes a singular representation of memory disconnected from nostalgia but part of an ongoing narrative.
