[March 1 2011]
The always interesting American artist Mark Flood presents his second solo show with New York’s Zach Feuer Gallery. Like his previous exhibition Chelsea Whores, the latest installation from the artist combines a low brow wit, riffs on popular culture and a thoughtfulness to presentation which is often overlooked in the midst of Flood’s chaos. Large scale works on canvas ground the show with tradition and somehow work beautifully alongside a room wallpapered with images of Lindsay Lohan. Murk Flood by Mark Flood is on view through 26 March, Zach Feuer Gallery, 548 West 22nd Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
