The intense multimedia installation of Karen Kilimnik and Kim Gordon offers visitors to Chelsea’s 303 Gallery the opportunity to explore the function of performance and its relationship to the audience. Kilimnik and Gordon use video alongside floor and wall works to reconsider the role of the observer. Despite the variety of work, the exhibition flows successfully with Gordon’s Black Glitter Circle in the center of the space functioning as the perfect unifier. On view through September 29th 2012 at 303 Gallery, 547 West 21st Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
