Part of the European Heritage Days, this exhibition showcases GOTSCHO’s exploration of the body’s resilience and denial through various mediums such as sculptures, installations, photographs, and films. He has collaborated with prestigious fashion houses and has pieces in major global collections, including MoCA in Los Angeles and the National Fund for Contemporary Art. His work examines themes of luxury, gender identity, and societal norms, often reflecting a haunting stillness and chaotic lyricism. The exhibition features illustrations from GOTSCHO’s upcoming book “Garçon Manqué”, which portrays an anonymous figure in a wardrobe-like setting. The artist’s reflections ponder the necessity of luxury and its role in engaging audiences and sparking change.
