Britain’s most prominent and influential living sculptors Richard Deacon will be in conversation tomorrow night at the Tate Britain. To coincide with his major exhibition this event marks a rare opportunity to hear Deacon talk about his work, in conversation with curator and writer Lewis Biggs. This exhibition at Tate Britain highlights Deacon’s interest in materials and their manipulation, as in After 1998 pictured above, a large wooden work where the continuous and looping form balances volume and space.
