“I Licked It, It’s Mine” Group Exhibition at The Museum of Sex New York, on view until January 19th 2025
This show brings together works by three female artists – Oh de Laval, Shafei Xia, and Urara Tsuchiya – united by their irreverent, tongue-in-cheek approach to the erotic. Exploring all manners of appetites and the playful twinning of sexual pleasure and possession, the works confront the dual nature of sex as both a tender expression and a carnal act of nature. At times, as in a fable, the roles of humans and animals are playfully swapped, a trading of places and desires.
