Marlborough Gallery’s Broome Street location presents an exhibition of new works by Grear Patterson. Patterson’s practice focuses on memory and fleeting moments by isolating the textures and details of seemingly insigificant objects. Hawaiian print t-shirts transform into paintings of nostalgia while closely cropped images give immediacy to a narrative of yearning. Manhattan Beach is on view through February 15th 2015 at Marlborough Gallery, 331 Broome Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
