Egyptian Diving Board II
Spencer Sweeney’s new show Egyptian Diving Board II opened at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise “Egyptian Diving Board II” fills the gallery with the bold and solid portraits of the artist and his friends. Some text invades the canvas but for the most part each image is a fantastic combination of line and color. These paintings are the end product
from Sweeney’s last installation at Gavin’s in December where he occupied the gallery and turned it into a living, performance and work space.
