Crocodile Tears, a quiet and thoughtful exhibition by the late Conceptual artist Douglas Huebler on view at Paula Cooper Gallery. Huebler, considered the founder of the Conceptual Art movement, worked with language and a purity of idea to transform viewers’ appreciation of images. In the show, viewers enounter the artist’s rejection of traditional photography formats in favor of the process and design behind the imagery. On view through April 21st at Paula Cooper Gallery, 521 West 21st Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
