[April 3 2017]
In this new exhibition at Almine Rech Gallery, Chris Succo (born in 1979 in Düsseldorf, Germany) presents new paintings and drawings that are coming closer to figuration, even though still of a degree of abstraction. Representations that are of the realm of memory. Based on sketches and photographs of places he visited, people he met, these records of fragments of life mark a shift in the artist’s practice known until now for its mark-making abstract canvases.
On view until April 8th at Almine Rech Gallery, Grosvenor Hill, Broadbent House, London.
