Charlotte Gainsbourg’s first photography exhibition, 5bis, is currently on view at La Galerie du Cloître in Arles.
Supported by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and curated by Matthieu Humery, the exhibition presents more than twenty previously unseen photographs taken inside 5 bis Rue de Verneuil, the longtime Paris home of Serge Gainsbourg. Made shortly before the house opened as Maison Gainsbourg, the intimate series transforms personal memory into a photographic portrait of one of France’s most iconic cultural spaces.
