Screening live from the ICA in London to the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, amongst
others, Auto Italia Live is working with artists engaging with
contemporary Live Broadcast, using the internet as a platform to show
their work and reach a wider audience. The one hour screening took the
audience through several scenes considering what the phrase
‘unwatchable TV’ might mean today, how objects and movements take on a
new dimension in the televisual space and how magic and trickery can
be exploited through framing and live editing. This episode featured artists Paul Becker, Nathan Budzinski, Benedict Drew, Robert Carter, Andrew Kerton, and Leslie Kulesh to name a few. Auto Italia Live was the final event in the series Television Delivers
People which coincides with the ICA’s current exhibition Remote
Control. Text and photo Aurora Aspen
