Alix Pearlstein’s The Drawing Lesson incorportates minimalism and dance to generate a psychological intensity in her hypnotic videos on view at On Stellar Rays. The stylized flow of Pearlstein’s characters drawns attention away from their white void surroundings. Instead, the swift movement of the camera enagages the viewer as a participant between the lens and the subjects. On view through October 21st 2012 at On Stellar Rays, 133 Orchard Street, New York.
