Gladstone Gallery’s new presentation of Alighiero Boetti showcases the artist’s colorful wall-mounted grids. Intertwining word and color, the Arazzi series bring order to chaos. Boetti’s works function on a global level, using both Italian and Farsi in his embroidered works. The presentation of the work also reflects the artist’s interest in merging the world of simplicity with complexity of themes. La Forza del Centro is on view through March 23rd 2013 at Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
