Art Production Fund’s great public mural project is back for a second edition. After Hours: Murals on the Bowery works with existing metal shutters on local storefronts and brings in fifteen artists to contribute unique works of art. When the shops close for the day, the Bowery becomes home to vibrant imagery and text from Grand Street to Houston. Artists participating in this year’s project include Alex Israel, Daniel Buren, Dana Schutz and Mel Bochner. On view through Septemer 29th 2013 along the Bowery. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
