The consistent career of Francesco Clemente continues with exhibition of recent works at Mary Boone’s Fifth Avenue location. Images created over the past four years represent the artist’s exploration of spirituality across media including pastel and watercolor. Compared to his 2009 exhibition at the now closed Deitch Projects, A Private Geography’s works are a more subtle and contemplative examination of the spiritual. The installation itself a cohesive and brilliant summary of one of art’s icons. A Private Geography by Francesco Clemente runs through December 18 at Mary Boone Gallery, 745 Fifth Avenue, New York.
