A Mon Seul Désir
A film by Ariana Papademetropoulos, is part of a series of films produced by the Louvres Museum and curated by Donatien Grau.
Starring Sebastien Tellier, Harris Reed, Valerio Maccario, Stephanie Llhorset, Krystoff Fluder
The title ‘A Mon Seul Désir’ is derived from the most enigmatic of the Lady and the Unicorn Tapestries, an obscure motto interpretable as “my one/sole desire”. In the tapestry, it is thought the lady putting the necklace into the chest is a renunciation of temptation, a theme echoed in the short film. The bed in the film represents the subconscious mind, the ruler of the figure in the bed who succumbs to bed’s desires until she enters the desired painting.
