Leonora Carrington (1917-2011), a surrealist artist and writer from Britain, is renowned for her magical, ethereal paintings. She lived in france with the German painter Max Ernst before moving to Mexico in 1942, where she established her studio, drawing inspiration from Mexican history and iconography. Her works feature fantastical beings and dreamlike scenes, reflecting her deep interest in mythology, spiritualist symbols, alchemy, and the occult.
