Los Angeles is the terminal zone of Western culture, a city of dreams and illusions, technology and entertainment that is radically transforming everyday life. Purple opened an office in the Art District and has featured many major figures from the California art scene, including Ed Ruscha, Catherine Opie, John Baldessari, Charles Ray, Kenneth Anger, and Paul McCarthy.
