HIGHER FREQUENCIES
Many spiritual traditions, as well as certain New Age teachings and contemporary energy spirituality, follow the idea that emotions and states of consciousness have different “vibrations.”
In that symbolic framework, higher frequencies are associated with love, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, joy, unity, and peace. Lower frequencies are associated with fear, hatred, anger, shame, resentment, jealousy, and violence.
Within that perspective, peace is understood as the result of raising individual and collective consciousness to a “higher frequency.”
