PERFUME FOR MY LIFE
I love collage because it feels like creating several small artworks and bringing them together into one piece. I’m inspired by the torn advertisements you see in the subway. Since
I also work as a model, it becomes a kind of full-circle transformation of imagery. For this collage,
I combined two techniques: vintage magazines treated with a solvent called Citra Solv, and layers of resin.
For this issue, I wanted to make a perfume-inspired piece. Perfume is glamorous, of course, but I was also thinking about how scent functions like an aura.
