I wasn’t able to bring anything with me when I came to Bangladesh, but I remember Myanmar well. When I left the country, I was brutally assaulted. At the time, I couldn’t eat for 25 days, and I had nightmares about it. It was painful, and I even tried to kill myself. Even now, when I can’t sleep at night, I nap like this. I can feel calm while I am here like this in the daytime. Sometimes I lead study sessions with a group of 40 in the community. Since I’m the oldest, I want to support the others. I visit my parents two or three times a week, but since we live separately, I worry about them….
