self-audition
I invited the young Russian artist Nastya Livadnova to take part in this Analog Issue. A fearless voice from Moscow’s underground, she creates raw, minimal performances with nothing but her body, a few props, and a camera. In a city where rebellion can come with consequences, she uses Instagram — not for vanity, but as her only stage.
Her pieces confront censorship and repression with disarming clarity, channeling a deep urge to express both her individuality and a playful critique of the art world. She reminds us that social media can be turned into a space for resistance and freedom. Her mantra is simple and radical: “being yourself always.”
