The New Emperor’s Clothes
Once upon a time, there was an Emperor who owned everything except honesty. His wardrobe was endless silk, sequins, and synthetic dreams stitched together to impress a world addicted to surfaces. Every day he dressed not to express himself, but to hide behind the shimmer.
One day, two artists arrived at his palace. They promised to make him garments woven from truth itself, visible only to those unafraid to see. The Emperor agreed, eager to be admired for his courage and taste. When the day of the grand show came, he stepped out wearing nothing at all, yet covered in confidence, performance, and denial. The crowd gasped, but instead of silence, one person laughed.
A child shouted, “He’s not naked — he’s finally free!!”
