OLIVIER ZAHM — You come from the South, from Louisiana, yes?
CHRISTEENE — Well, it’s tricky with me because I’m a bit of a fantastical, mythological bein. I don’t follow human norms of biographical structures. In a way, CHRISTEENE was born in Texas in 2011. I had my first memories of experiencin this world in Austin, and I learned there’s also somethin in tha soil that has linked me to Louisiana.
OLIVIER ZAHM — Louisiana is quite a fantastic world, no?
CHRISTEENE — It’s fuckin fantastical. I reference New Orleans a lot as bein one of tha few places, if not tha only place, in this country where you can really step into a different world. It’s rich in history, rich in people…
