photography by NATHANIEL GOLDBERG
The YSL cruise collection by Stefano Pilati is more than just clothing for between-seasons. It’s a paradigm of men’s essentials for warm-weather travel: extreme comfort, elegant timelessness, rich fabrics without ostentation, respectable pastels, and sensual knits. So, rather than a fashion shoot’s stylistic artifice, the photographer took self-portraits wearing samples of the collection just the way they should be—on a trip—in this case to Morocco. Nothing’s better than buying new clothes for a trip: these are made to be worn.
