[April 23 2013]
Zhang Xiaogang’s new exhibition takes over two of The Pace Gallery’s 25th Street venues. The artist translates the characters of his paintings into three dimensional painted bronze. The works range in size and are placed on pedestals throughout the galleries. Each isolated head is a study in psychology and their presentation plays on typical propogranda sculptures of leaders. On view through April 27th 2013 at The Pace Gallery, 508 and 510 West 25th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
