“Wish You Were Gay” exhibition by Anne Imhof opens today at Kunsthaus Bregenz
Spanning over four floors, the exhibition serves as both a personal survey and a new body of work. It features bas-reliefs, large-scale oil paintings, sculptures, stage elements, stadium lighting, and video works using archival footage from her early career. Imhof explores themes of finitude, reality versus artifice, chance and fate, and absence versus presence, all set against a backdrop of post-apocalyptic isolation. This exhibition delves into the complexities of human existence and contemporary life through her distinctive artistic vision.
The exhibition will be on view until September 22nd.
