Vaquera S/S 2027, PFW
Vaquera‘s SS27 collection put their irreverent take on American style on full display, the duo’s signature deconstruction elevated into something more polished and glamorous. Midway through the show, Bryn Taubensee and Patric DiCaprio took to the runway themselves to sing Sonny & Cher’s 1965 classic “I Got You Babe.” The collection moved through uniforms and archetypal figures of the 1920s and ’30s from french maids to chefs and waiters, transformed into something theatrical, sexy, and elegant. Models walked with a punk attitude, chewing gum and pouting. Glamorous gowns in neon highlighter shades and exaggerated silhouettes recalled early Marc Jacobs, but remained unmistakably Vaquera.
